Meaningful Group Programs

Meaningful Group Programs for NDIS Psychosocial Participants and Allies

These are programs designed for mentally diverse people to support self-actualisation through innovative capacity building and social connection.

Also, just to do something different and spend time with some interesting people.

Our focus in all sessions is to provide something meaningful for people to do, an opportunity to meet like-minded people and a comfortable environment in the real world.

Although they look and feel pretty casual, embedded in the sessions are opportunities for safe social practice, reflection, expression, relaxation and being a human (or whatever you identify as) instead of a client, consumer, patient, service user or any other label.

We partner with local people, artists, businesses and other groups to create real experiences and connections that change the narrative from living with mental health to celebrating mental diversity.

Now offering 6 different programs with more on the way….

Stay Tuned

Listen to tunes together

Thursdays weekly, 1230pm to 230pm

This group curates a YouTube song playlist of many flavours - from Lizzo to The Pixies and beyond. We play it on the big screen and big speakers while we sit on couches in a private bar setting.

Limited to 10 people, Soft drinks and fries included.

Bleep and Twang

Make music make noise

Thursdays fortnightly, 230pm to 430pm

These sessions are an opportunity to learn and play with guitars, synthesizers, keyboards, drum machines, percussion, samplers and more..

Make noise, delicate little plink sounds, big cinematic orchestras, deep rumbly bass, trap beats, banging techno, weird vocal arrangements, sound healing journeys, actual music and whatever feels good. Perfect your solo, whack a drum, have a 2 hour jam session, finally write that song, actually learn guitar, start a band and go on tour… or just enjoy playing.

Bring an instrument if you have one or jam on ours. BYO headphones (we can use the speakers too).

Limited to 8 people of every skill level and music taste.
